A whale is washed up on a beach. Is it alive? It’s time to put on your shrimp helmet, take a deep breath and dive inside the jaws of Manilayo the giant humpback whale that needs your help! Become a hero and live to tell the tale in this interactive performance spectacle that lets you embark on a journey to find out what’s wrong with Manilayo with the dubious help of Dr. Walrus.

Highly interactive, playful and full of riotous slapstick The Whale’s Tale is an environmental tale to warm the heart while reflecting on the consequences of our actions and our impact on the environment. The Whale’s Tale is a rollicking journey that will leave you and your children wanting to make a difference for our oceans.

This project was co-commissioned by Arts Centre Melbourne and Windmill Theatre. Tour supported by The Playing Queensland Fund and arTour, initiatives of the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
