“When you fold, the ritual and the act of creation is more important than the final result. When your hands are busy your heart is serene”

吉澤 章 Yoshizawa Akira (1911 – 2005) Japanese Origami Grandmaster.

Kim Schoenberger’s Brightest Star workshop will explore traditional Origami – the Japanese art of paper folding – and contemporary design techniques to create colour and texture on paper.

Each participant will have the opportunity to create their own original design on paper using paint transfer and frottage techniques, and make two origami stars, one to take home, and one to hang on the installation wall for the You’re the Brightest Star exhibition.

Children under 16 will need a completed parental consent form to attend these events. Fill out the parental consent form and bring it along to the event.
